Sharjah Petroleum Council announces discovery of new gas field “Hudaiba”

Sharjah Petroleum Council announced a new gas discovery in the Hudaiba field, located north of the Sajaa field in Sharjah, in promising economic quantities.

Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) drilled a well in the past months, and the well will be tested in the coming period to confirm the quantities and potential reserves of the field for development.

Hudaiba is Sharjah’s fifth onshore field to be added to Al Sajaa, Kahf, Mahani and Muwaeed (converted into a gas storage field).
