SNOC CEO Addresses AUS Alumni Reunion

Over 700 American University of Sharjah (AUS) alumni from around the world celebrated 20 years of AUS alumni at a virtual event held on April 3, 2021 under the theme “20 Years of AUS Alumni”.

In keeping with tradition, the AUS Alumni Association invited alumni to nominate fellow graduates for induction into the AUS Alumni Wall of Fame. Nominees were chosen for their significant professional accomplishments, as well as for their contributions to the university. “Holding a virtual event was a great idea, as it would have been difficult to attend the entire event in person. Having the alumni reunion held virtually was a fun experience”.

Speaking at the event, Professor Kevin Mitchell, AUS Chancellor, said: “AUS alumni are extremely important members of the AUS community and critical to the continued success of the university.  Since 2001, AUS has awarded more than 16,000 degrees. AUS alumni represent more than 100 nationalities and occupy senior positions not only in the Middle East, but also in North America, Europe, Australia and throughout the world.
