His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, issued Amiri Decree No. 26 of 2021 regarding the appointment of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al Qassimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as the Chairman of the Petroleum Council.
His Highness has extensive experience in the industry as he was previously the Vice Chairman of the Petroleum Council since 1999 in addition to his tasks as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah National Oil Corporation since (2010) and Vice Chairman of Sharjah LPG Co. Ltd. (Shalco) (2004-2011).
In his role as Chairman of the Petroleum Council, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al Qassimi follows in the footsteps of his father, the late Sheikh Ahmad bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and former Chairman of the Petroleum Council, in whose reign many developments and achievements took place in the field of oil and gas in Sharjah.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmad Al Qassimi received a B.S. Of Business Administration from Arkansas State University, the United States of America and Masters in Computer and Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan, USA.
