SNOC Collaborates with Hariot-Watt University Researching Reservoir Modeling & Simulation

As the E&P team progresses with the field development objectives, they had the opportunity to collaborate for research with local universities on challenges in reservoir modeling and simulation. There is a project ongoing with Heriot-Watt University, Dubai Campus with two students for the completion of their individual projects aligning with our goals. A 4 month program started on June 2017 for the two MSc Petroleum Engineering students to work on reservoir engineering and geology with the field development team. They submitted a research report with a presentation on the 22nd of August 2017 to a panel at the University where the SNOC team was invited to attend.The students now aim to further enhance their projects working more closely with the Field Development team and will present their findings and reduce uncertainties in the SNOC reservoir models. Such collaboration with students has enabled the E&P team to fast track sensitivities utilizing expertise as well as hardware resources from the University and gain knowledge in the process.
